what grade do i use, as the level is very low.

I'd have thought you have to use the same as what's already there? A range of oils could be in there, but the general consensus in here is that castrol syntrax 75W90 is best.

i find my car is much better on syntrax 75w90, about to change to red-line as halfords haven't got any syntrax in stock and have heard good things about it.
