In these extreme temperatures the engine sounds a bit knocky after a first start in the moning while idling and also at lo rev. Goes after a few minutes.....I had piston slap sorted in the past there is no chance it could come back is there ?

Or is it a case of they all do that Sir !

Yeah I was reading that thread but Its more of a knock than click I suppose it sounds a bit like a quiet Diesel.

 

Is this a characteristic of the engine ?
