Jokes aside, many,many thanks to Bob and Branko, I had my car "linked up" today with Link ECU, Knocklink and Lambdalink. Runs like an absolute dream now - I watched very carefully and they did not replace the scooby engine with a porsche 911 turbo unit, so some other magic must be involved..

Anyways - if you want evidence of the smoothness and raw power - come and have a look at my brake disks which I managed to crack on the way home..

I seen that BRD have got some new style gauges for the knocklink etc!! Did they fit these to your car or do you have to pay extra for them?

I just have the "normal" ones which are fine for me .. to be honest I didn't know they had newer ones..

There is a link in the General forum that has a few piccies of the new dial style gauges. The back ground changes colour as the mixture etc. changes!! It does mention that these gauges will cost about double the price of the original gauges!

Dom, Bob maps the car within the allowances of your setup. I have standard injectors and fuel pump. Bob advised me to get an upgraded fuel pump which I have, and once fitted I will take the car back to BR for final fine tuning..

 

Thanks Adam, I have gone for the 550 injectors, uprated fuel pump and also the uprated fuel reg. I want to have them in place ready for the mapping, only 31 days to go!!!!!!!

Cool Dom, I will probably buy the newer gauges (its only money) as I was going to put a gauge pod in the car anyway.

 

I'm seeing Branko on Tuesday so I'll enquire about the gauges and try and get a rough guide to the cost etc!!
