stuck @ Derry International Airport waiting for Stansted's runways to be cleared

I want to get home so that I can go PLAY

It wont be cleared for hours...

1. Its the wrong type of snow
2. Its below the minimun working temp.
3. They have no boots (lent to the army to fight a war)
4. Their not sure if the snow is PC...some think it shouldnt be
white.
5. The anti freezing stuff has frozen

Don't bother rushing....the road from our house to Stansted has been blocked by snowdrifts since Thursday evening

You might get back via the A120.

One of the reasons the airport has been closed was because the staff can't get there - as the local roads have been blocked

If they can't get the M11 cleared for nearly 24 hours, there's fat chance of us seeing a snowplough out here

 

LOL - just VERY occasionally, living in London has it's benefits.....

6hrs waiting @ DIA

Heard that the runway was clear @ 10.00 (like - WTF did they not think that after Thursday's fiasco, with warnings, it might happen again )

When we got on the plane, we were told by the crew that it was because there was only ONE plane de-icing team (like - WTF did they not think that after Thursday's fiasco, with warnings, it might happen again ) for the whole of the airport

'cos I live @ 300ft mark, there is still some snow around, but roads are mainly clear, so can't have fun

(Can't /won't go out anyway as have had a few drinkies )
