Anybody had one of these ?

We all know how to put on your original exhaust with catalytic converter for an MOT then fit your other again (Or other ways of passing an MOT)

But what about these roadside emissions tests that I saw in Manchester today ? Some Japanese geezer was pulled over in his Civic and was given some sort of ticket, presumably for failing the emissions test.

Does anybody know any more info about these & how much you get fined etc ????

Cheers all

Scott
PS My APEXi GT 5" Exhaust has now arrived with decat and although I can't wait for it to be fitted, I can't help but get a little nervous that i'm gonna see trouble cos i've had it fitted ???

You have the right to not take the test if you are concerned that your car is not running right and take a deferred test, at an MOT station, within 14 days of being pulled over.

Anyone got that link to the official wording?

You only need one CAT to pass antway, so why not be on the safe side and fit a high flow CAT as used on the Sti PPP mod. I would have thought this route the power loss would be very small and you are still leagl.

I have also heard that a full DECAT can pass if the engine has been running nice and warm ?
