Hi guys n Girls

Was at a busy round about the other day on my way to work waiting to pull out, after a bit i got a bit pi&&ed off so thought id do a fast pull away so i built the rev's up to about 4500 and steadily released the clutch. then the car jumped forward about 2 feet then stopped and there was a pop from my exhaust. i thought **** ive snapped a drive shaft or clutch or something but i just dipped the clutch again and pulled away as normal and its been fine ever since, so what could it have been guys?

Any help would be nice cos im not much of a mechanic

Ps i didnt staul the car or anything it made a bang when it joulted forward.

Maybe your car is saying :
Please don't rev me to 4.5k and steadily release my clutch, I don't like, and I will pop if you do it ?

was it cold at the time mate?? cos one of my mates has a saab 9000 turbo which does the same thing but only when cold.

 

no mechanic myself. filled up at a different garage recently ? have had that kinda thang before when there's been water in the petrol (different car) but would be more consistent than that...

nope the car wasnt cold it was nice and warm, im scared to put away fast now incase ive done some damage to my car and its going to cost me lots of cash
