does anybody know if oil pressure is related to hesitation in any way?

my MY00 does the normal hesitation thing from time to time, which is fine (i guess) but it also has the effect of zeroing the oil pressure gauge - as if I've just lost all pressure!?!?

strange... dealer said the some fluctuation of the guage under acceleration is normal - anybody got any thoughts?
