Hi!,
I currently own a Honda Integra Type-R. Later on this year I would like to change it for something a bit faster & an RB5 is currently at the top of my list. A P1 would be nice, but it is around £4,000 more (for a good one) to buy, £600 more to insure & event though has another 40 horses, it only has another 2lb feet of torque (260 V's 258). Anyway, my question is simple: Not all RB5's have the WR Sport Pack, and I am assuming that it is posible to buy the "body bit's" separately, so how can I tell (when I go to view a car) whether it does have the extra 22 BHP?

Thanks for your help guys.

PhK.

Prodrive exhaust with Prodrive stamped on the tail pipe. Blue intercooler hoses, ECU should be pink (cant remember entirely - someone will no doubt confirm this bit), WRSport logo on rev counter, Prodrive rear wing, and RB5 PPP certificate.

Good choice by the way!

Hi and welcome, to answer your question if it has been PPPed it will have a single round tail pipe with Prodrive stamped on it, on the intercooler pipes will be blue with Prodrive on but most importantly the owner should show you the cetificate from Prodrive saying in has been modded.

Hope this helps Dixie.

It will only have WR Sport on the rev counter if it was one of the original WR Sports supplied converted on delivery.

The upgrade could be done later as my car has, the only difference being that my rev counter does not have the WR Sport on it.

I second all this, having owned one up until recently, however due to an incident with a concrete barrier the car is sadly no more!
It was a very good car, however, i have now found an even more awesome machine!
I have put a deposit down on a P1 and will be picking her up very soon. I certainly believe you can notice the difference, it handles a little bit better and feels as though it wants to keep going as you move up the gears. Only in my humble opinion. Anyway, whatever you choose you will not be disappointed!!

don't worry if you can't find a WR Sport. At the end of the day a decent exhaust with an ECUTEK 2/2.5 will be much faster / more power etc

Hi and Welcome,

I maybe selling my RB5 WRsport in a few months. 19k, FSSH, garaged and mint. I'm in South London, if you want to see one and get a feel for them let me know. Haven't decided if I'm selling yet, the other half wants a new car so one has to go.

My RB5 Prodrive is currently for sale in Preston area! PPP was fitted before delivery! Email to imprezaturbo@yahoo.com if you would like more details!

Not sure about the WRSport badge on the dash... mine has the badge, but a guy I used to work with also had PPP on delivery but no badge! He did however have RB5 badges on his Prodrive spoiler which I don't!!

Thumbs up

To BMWhere. Thanks for letting me know. I have my house up for sale at the mo, so am not in a position to buy yet. I am looking at July for the 'new to me' motor.

Does the RB5's exhaust sound as good as the P1's (which is awsome)?

yep. sounds pretty good. depends what you want. there are much louder exhausts around but the Prodrive one is still reasonably civilised on a long run.

I've never been in a P1, so I don't really know!

The RB5 is verry sweet though... It still brings big smiles every time I drive it even 3 1/2 years down the road (pardon the pun!)!!!

Good Luck selling the house and finding your dream Scooby!

Al.
