whats one of these SUBARU IMPREZA TURBO WRX RA?
and how is it differrent from a uk 2000 awd turbo?

 

It stands for Race Altered/Rally Altered i think.
It is definatley an import.
They were totally stripped of everything possible to keep the weight down.
I think they were brought out as a starting point for people who wanted to rally spec them.
i had a STi type RA, no ABS, no elec window, light weight bonnet.

There will be other mechanical differences aswell but I don't know much about all that

The v-lims version have all the kit back . Do a search for "Type RA" there is bags of info on here.

 

Si - bottom line is they are much faster and better than UK cars but more expensive to buy, run, insure. Need to run on optimax - I'm sure I saw optimax their when I was up for xmas..

 

ahh - I'm mainly talking about the wrx sti type RA - there is indeed a none STI version with less power also.

 

Again it depends on the MY .
My non sti RA is a 2000 model so it has 280PS engine and an 8250 rev limiter but a 7,500 redline (work that out if you can )
