I Have Just Had So Much Fun
This evening (late) I've had a chance to sample some of Buck's tightest lanes at about 10mph
Normaly that would be a bit stale BUT they are rather snowey
I was going up hill quicker then I could make my way down.
Major fun but if I had the latest snow tyres would it make a difference?
The scoob felt a bit like a sled like down hill?
What do you think?

Hi Ian
Snow tyres make a massive difference. I've just come back after 2 weeks in Canada, where we had 9 inches on Christmas Day (I bet the wife would like to say the same ;D ) followed by another 7-8 inches a few days later. My brothers Nissan Maxima
big v6, front wheel drive would pi55 all over our cars because it had the real McCoy tyres on. I had a Lancer 7( not Evo unfortunately)hire car with ordinary tyres on and it was hopeless, much like the scoob downhill and obviously much worse uphill. I couldn't even keep up with their other car which is one of those enormous US people carrier things with a big V8 and front drive, no traction control.
I also remember it being demonstrated to a mate of mine and me when we went skiing several years ago in his pride and joy, an integrale. He thought he was a driving God ( he's not), I was 5hitting myself, going up the long twisty snowy hill into the ski resort when suddenly a renault 4 van pi55ed past us on the inside of a bend going at least twice as fast as we were
.
Been out having fun too today in N Kent.
