Question

With all this nasty weather, leading to accidents 'n' stuff, it just got me wondering whether Subaru Assistance would be a particularly busy bunch at the moment.

Never having used them, is it 100% a company in its own right, or is it a front-end to a big-name breakdown service? (Green Flag, RAC, AA, Direct Line, etc)

They use local garages as far as I know. I called then once when I had my UK scoob and the guy that arrived was just a garage with a breakdown truck. Nice bloke but he said he had never fixed a scoob not surprising back in 98 there werent that many.

They use local recovery firms and they then take the car to your nearest subaru dealer for repair and assesment. I had my big ends give way in june last year on my RB5 WRSport and used the warranty to get me out of trouble. The dealer provided a courtesy car and had mine for about 3 weeks.
