....theres bound to be some new drivers on here so why not let them/me/us/you learn the easy way & not the hard way(dont be afraid to insult anyones intelligence as no-one knows it all)

Right i'll start with ...

Watch out for black ice under overhanging trees (sun melts treetops ,drips onto shaded road argh)and on approach to side street juntions where cars re-melt frost (tyre friction)and it re-freezes into black ice...nasty .

Be careful when there is mud on the road, it can be as bad as ice. Frozen mud is even worse. It caught me out last week.

Never park next to a crappy car. You'll get dents.

Yes. Best to park across two parking bays to avoid this.

Only start to brake into the corner when the passengers are gripping the sealt bolsters.

Heel and Toe to reduce wear on the Clutch/Tranny

Maintain Corner speed at all times.

Dont brake mid corner at high speed

er... Never accept sweets from strangers!

Be careful what gets put in the footwell behind the driver's seat. Things can slide under the seat into the driver's footwell, especially under heavy braking. They are then in a position to get wedged under the brake pedal...

Don't ask me how I know, I just know...

It's not fun...

(I wasn't the driver and it wasn't my car, but it was one of the most alarming motoring incidents of my life).
