If this is true, should us existing owners be given a modified version if we request it ?

apparently yes. some of my friends noted their SKY freezing when I had mine. Got a Road Angel now

Hmmm...I have an S5, just over 1 year old and would like to replace it as I'm sure its a duff unit - someones it never goes off - even outside a petrol station.

Anyone swapped theirs? If so, how did they do it?
