Blown turbo on P1

My turbo went on 10 December and the garage have told me i might have to wait until february to get a new one from Japan, has anyone else had this problem.

I've never had to wait any more that 3 weeks for a turbo. Ordered loads for various cars in the past. Last one took the longest but most of the time was sorting it out with the warranty company and them sending the wrong one the first time round.

Thanks for your replys i guess i wil have to wait.
they have given a brand new Forester as a courtesey car which is perfect this weather

nice in theory but I guess his P1 is being fixed under warranty. Buy and fit a hybrid £1500+ and no warranty after that or wait and get Subaru to fit you a VF28 foc. If I had to fit a new turbo and pay for it myself it would be a hybrid though .
