PIN number alarm systems?
Hi all
As there seems to be a growing trend of thieving scum stealing cars by somehow obtaining the keys (either by breaking into your house or deliberatley driving into your rear and grabbing the keys when you get out etc) surely some sort of alarm system that requires entry of a pin number on activation of the cars ignition to start the car would go some way to prevent this.
Anyone have anything like this installed or know of a product that allows for PIN number restricted lock out?
Just a thought...

The standard Sigma alarm on >my99 uk supplied scoobs has this feature and it is easy to enable. Thought about it myself, of course it means the toerags just trash your car if you are not at home, or beat you with a baseball bat till you tell them the pin code if you are home!
Personally think it's a good idea though.
The keypad fits in the glovebox nicely so not too much of an inconveinence.

The reason not many people use this feature is that with the keypad being inside the car, you have to open the door with the keys which sets off the alarm every time you want to get in.
