My evo 7 has a cat 1 alarm and immboliser, + navtrak and one of those huge steering wheel locks. If some twocer breaks into the car and doesnt have the keys, how easy would it be to nick the car ?? Im not talking 16 year old ******* but professional car thieves?? Anyone have any ideas??

 

Dont expect many people will write here how easy/hard it is to steal them as more could go missing with that useful info !!

If someone wants your car then they will take it, even if it means putting it on the back of a lorry.
As your car has got a Cat 1 immboliser (alarm - who does anything when they hear a car alarm!) then you should be pretty safe as they are hard to crack. If someone gets past that then all you do is contact your tracking company and they find it!

There is only so much you can do. Just drive it and enjoy it and think twice before you park it in a strange place.

Too true Paul! All this talk of it's only a lump of metal don't risk getting injured just encourages the low life to take em.

If they are serious thieves the car will go. But, as proven by the guy (sorry don't remember the name) who was threatened on the hospital car park, stand your ground against a couple of chancers and they dissapear not the Scooby.

 

Agreed, I would weigh up my chances and take a chance on it. It may only be a lump of metal but it is MY lump of metal and i do not believe i would let it go without a struggle.

From my POV it is not just about cars i feel the same way about street robbery, etc
whats mine is mine, iv'e earned it and i am buggered if i am gonna give it up easily.
