Talking

I don't know why i've posted this, it's probably the sheer excitement.

He takes delivery of it tomorrow morning, so i think i'll try and head down south to see it - unless of course he feels like running it in .

Bought it to get back into circuit racing, if i get a chance i will go to some of the track events - so if you see me (reddish blue) and a V6 turn up at Brands in November gimme a shout.

More exicted than my mate i think!!

Cheers

Iain

Always wanted to drive one as i own a Renault 5 Turbo I Cevennes, an 1982 Group B derivative but with only 220 Bhp. Tell us impressions as the press relly disliked it i think

Looks nice, but isn't much quicker than the Clio Sport 172 which I find unbelieveable.
Ho hum.

Stef.

Had a drive of the Renault press car.... Sorry but if your friend actually enjoys driving he is gonna be disappointed. I was really looking forward to it and was gutted. Felt slow and Heavy However It is such a huge headturner, so if he likes to pose... also had a crowd round it when ever it stood still. Also a semi decent investment as I think residuals will be strong. Are they not bringing out an Evo version soon?

From what I've read it's not really a drivers car. Obviously I can't comment as to how it drives, I've never driven one, but from what I've read (and from what pictures I've seen of them covered in mud after go off tracks) I wouldn't like to drive it at 10/10ths.

I can see it being one of those cars that is in a collection in a few years. As has already been said, I reckon they're going to hold their value pretty well.

If it's not his only car, perhaps he could strip it out to get rid of as much weight as possible which may make it more of a drivers car and would enable it to show a clean pair of heels to us 172 drivers

Andy.

p.s. if you take any pictures I wouldn't mind seeing them!
