As title, on a STI 3 RA

TD05 I think or one of the VF (28/23?) series.
I think Andy F or Mark Aigan will be the best to confirm.

 

On a version 3 i'd say it's not a TD05 as the version 3 is a straight entry turbo... facelifted bonnet. If it is a facelifted car i've no idea what turbo it runs sorry.

I would expect it to be a VF23.

Paul,

The VF23 is a very nice turbo, and apart from the new VF34, would be my personal choice of the stock IHI turbo's.

It's strong, flows a similar amount of air to the TD05, but will be far less laggy.

Thanks once again Mark, your opinion greatly appreciated. I haven’t got the car yet, but fingers crossed it has no skeleton. If so I’ll be making a purchase.
