Body work check at service ??
I ave seen a few people mention that when their car was serviced it has had it body check done ?
Forgive me if i am being thick - no abuse or else !
But do they do this automatically , or do you have to ask them, i have just had my big servcie at 3 yeras and had cambelt changed - the amount it cost i hope they bloody checked everything ?
Will they have done this or do i have to ask ??????

you have to ask, but more importantly you also have to pay!!! I havent bothered on either of my cars. this does mean the body warranty is void though. from memory I think it costs about £70 but I may be wrong.

Yep, you have to actually "ask" for it to be carried out, but if you have already missed the first check at 12mths old, you have already lost out on body warranty. It "should" be explained at "handover", but which sales rep wants to put his neck on the line and shove yet another invoice label your way , if you knew all the outlaying costs, you'd buy another product, where all these "costs" are included in list price.
the service book does give all the details but as i say, no dealer fully explains "ALL" the costings.
