I have read a thread that states these Prodrive units offer poor lighting. Compared to OEM lights on the MY01/2 are they worse/better/same. I don't want to make a retrograde step in having them fitted even though they do look better.

On the U.S.-spec models, the Prodrive lights are an improvement, both visually and well...visually. The beam is longer and wider than the stock lights that we get (9007 bulbs), and is brighter. The Prodrives are as bright as the fogs, where the stock lights aren't at all.

Yorkie,
You could try putting in better bulbs and make sure the alignment is spot on.

I had std bugeyes on my MY01 when I bought it and they were pretty crap even after I fitted Philips Vision plus bulbs.I now have Prodrive headlamps (Again with Vision Plus bulbs) and they are a BIG improvement over the std bugeyes IMHO........
HID is the way to go but is very expensive!!

Good luck

Nick
