Cool

Well its getting on for halfway through the month so time to whack a post up Scott and I have been scouting for a new venue due to the Crispin's change in management and the lack of space in the car park.

Tonight Scott and I spoke to Angie who runs The New Leathern Bottle with her husband Brett, just outside Bracknell (on the A3095 between Brack and Maidenhead) and they are game for us to go along. We also have to acknowledge their top taste in cars as they also happen to own a scoob

Theres a good menu which Scott is going to scan and post up later, and the prices were more reasonable than the Crispin so we didn't feel it was necessary for discount. The other bonus for Scott being that Angie said she'd get choccy fudge cake in especially

So there we have it. The meet will be the 24th instead of the last Thursday of the month this time, and as normal meet from about 7:30pm onwards.

Wotcher Neil - well done to you and fudge cake boy for sorting this out!

Hope to be there, but might be away - will know nearer the time.

BTW, any chance of hosting the map pics somewhere else? All I get is the red cros of death and I've tried the recommended ways of getting round the Norton block. Ho hum!

TTFN,
Steve

I'll be at this one, missed the last Crispin event.

I'm sure my scoob will love the roads around the new venue... lots of twists and turns.

Fulham - sorry mate but its easy to get to honest

Steve - ok mate, be good to see you again Soz about the maps, hosted on Turbosport. You can do a search on multimap.co.uk or streetmap.co.uk for postcode RG42 6ET and that will show you the location. Failing that, let me know and I'll email them to ya

Phil - you certainly aren't wrong about those roads we had good fun tonight looking!!!

Well as promised, here is the menu:-

If it's a bit small just save it locally and use Imaging or similar to zoom in.

What Neil forgot to mention is that the Scooby owned by Angie and Brett is completely standard! However I feel after this meet things might be changing on that front!!!

As for distance for me - it's about 10 minutes!

Steve or anyone else that feels they might not be able to find it post up here saying so, and we can meet up beforehand and I'll direct you to the pub.

Scott aka Chocolate Fudge Cake Boy

I didn't want to give many details mate since the location has been published hence not saying to much

About 10mins from me too eh scott

I think a Bracknell rendezvous pre meet could poss be a good idea, especially for those unsure about where it actually is.

Scoobyjawa, a good meeting place in Bracknell would be the point (where the cinema and Halfords etc are), it's just a short hop from there.

Does this mean the end of the Windsor crawl/roar or do we just cruise Bracknell instead (may be a bit like sh*tting on ones own doorstep though!)

TBH I'm more concerned about J having those images/thoughts in the first place!

I was simply refering to the fact I enjoy a nice bit of Chocolate Fudge Cake, laden with cream! And that is not to be taken the wrong way!!! Oo-er!

How on earth can we bring this thread back to normality now?!

LMAO @ Dave - I had to re-read what I'd written as I couldn't relate to it at all!!!

Anyway, lets bring this thread back to the point of it, as any newbies are gonna wonder WTF (especially Angie and Brett when they check this thread!!!)?!

Count me in guys. I have to say I love the idea of "Little" or more importantly "Large" portions of the food. I wonder if you ask nicely if they'll do "absolutely monsterous". Hmmmmmmm

I'd favour a meet before to make it easier to find. The point in Bracknell sounds good to me.

Cat, Peter,

We'd thought about the point but it gets a bit busy and could lead to problems so at the moment we're not sure. Depending on where people are coming from we have a few locations in mind.
So, if you wanna come along to the meet, but meet us to get to the pub, let us know where abouts you'll be coming from and we'll try and sort a convenient 1 or 2 pickups perhaps

Cheers
Neil

I'm coming in from Egham via Ascot.

I think I know the pay and display carpark your suggesting. Sounds good to me.

Looks like I won't be able to make this one as I'll be flying back from Belfast @ 8pm......I was hoping for a ride in the green wagon on speed

Unless it wants to pick me up from Heathrow

Have a good one

Lee - absolutely no ideas! Any clues? Be good to see you again anyway.

Ian - lol @ the green wagon on speed. Somehow Heathrow is a little out of the way for the Super Wagon!

Just a shame I won't have my new bits fitted by then Oh well, it's not as if I'll go unnoticed without them!

Neil - have you seen the other thread re:- Friday What have I started???!!!!!!

The pay and display sounds like a good 'un as it's en-route for most people. We could just meet there at 7:15, hang around for a little while to wait for anybody who might be running late, and leave at say 7:30.

towzer - many thanks for the offer, however, I don't land in Heathrow until 21:40 (leaving Belfast at 20:00) and I would not have anyone waiting for me that long let alone missing the meet

Might have to take the car to the airport instead and then come by....recommend any good car parks.
