It has come to my attention that someone has registered a Genie account in my name and is texting people I know (from this BBS) from the web, under this id - I believe using my mobile number too.

If you have my mobile number, please do not give it out to anyone without asking me first.

I have a fair idea who it is sending these hoax SMS messages, and will be passing all the details to the Police for further investigation. I will also be making my service provider aware of the issues.

Please let me know if you receive any text messages 'alledgedly' from me, that have come from an internet based SMS provider.

How ever this saddo is that is causing all this grief for you really needs to get a life.

Bad enough they think it is funny to impersonate you but they don't have the bottle to come out of the shadows.

I hope the Police and the related service providers are able to deal with this issue.
