A work collegue and i were debating whether or not removing the speedo cable from the gear box would remove the speed limiter on the Aust and Jap spec STi????
Obviously the speedo and odometer will be rendered inoperative, but would the speed cut be removed from 180 km/h (so they tell me).
Does the ecu get this info from the cable or a separate speed sensor???
Stupid question from one who drives his STi for economy, but an interesting one!
