Just got back from the Revs 0-60 and 1/4 mile challenge.

Hate to say it but I let everyone down - came 3rd. Behind a 518hp rally Escort Cossie and that twin engines (2x250hp) R5.

Although I was fastest road car. By a long way

0-60 was a little disappointing - 3.8, 1/4 mile was 12.2 @ 115 - but it was 30+ degrees on the runway.

Sorry everyone

I'm curious to know what time 518hp Escort Cosworth did for the 1/4 mile. Nice to benchmark against the Rigoli WRX in Australia which does a 10 sec 1/4 mile.

You know what the problem was don't you Craig?
The car was obviously unbalanced due to it
only having 1/4 of a strut brace on it!!
Lol

The escort cossie does 11.2 i think.
But unlike the rigoli car its used on the road and handles bends with brakes and all.

The rigoli one has standard brakes on it doesn't it.....meaning i could dust him on track..

Not diss ing the the Car as 10 secs at over 140mph is amazing......(isn't it amzaing the power of NF SDB....was a joke )

Not bad craig,I am glad you achieved similar time to Banzai shoot on Monday as my mate was questioning accuracy of their timing gear,as my purple scooby achieved similar times to his 300+ bhp Pulsar.I was going to go to Revs day but my gearbox is whining in first gear since Banzai shoot and I need the car for Trax next weekend so I thought I had better not push my luck.
See you at Trax where I will be battleing with the others for second fastest Scooby (if only I didn't have to change to 3rd at 50) on the 0-60 strip.

Colin.

Steve,

FYI info, there was a "460hp" Skyline there on the day - rearrrange these words to form a sentence:

***, whooped, I, his, big, style

along with:

"400hp" GTiR and Cossie, "357hp" hp EVO Extreme (LMAO - yeah right), 370hp, 4L V8 powered kit car (zzzzzzzz ) and Caterham R500 (should it be THAT slow? )

Not to many the Evo 6 that managed a tarmac shredding 5.8 0-60 (Excuse me mate, is that a REAL EVO? )

See you and Fat Birdy at Dono

Steve,

Forgot to say.....

Spent half the day giving passenger rides down the quarter mile.

No one wanted to go in the Skylark 'cos it was a little slow - you must know what I mean, being an owner and all that?

Incase of doubters, after 15+ runs on monday and 2 dozen plus runs yesterday, everything is fine, no oil has been used, clutch is "ok" and I'll be at Donington all day monday if anyone fancies a ride

Here we go again, modded to the b****x Scoob whups standard Evos, so Scoobs have to be better. The fact that Scoob and Cossie owners (I take it Dingy is a cossie boy) have to make this point just show which car they are jealous of :-)

Most decent Evo drivers don't go for striaght line contests they want twisty stuff as there's more to it than drag strip. If you want to do that properly, use a real dragster.

EVO Extreme is not exactly standard is it?

I'm not a straightline merchant either - as can be proved by the track days I attend.

I was merely pointing that out as BS power - and there seems to be a lot flying around with EVOs at the moment - that was all.
