I pick up my new STi next Friday and was wondering when I should start waxing it...I read somewhere that the paint from the factory needs some time to harden. Should I wait a month before I give it the treatment?

Maybe if I wait a month I'll have found out where to get the Swissol products in Switzerland ! You'd think with them being made here they'd be easy to find...nope ! The Samuari wax doesn't even seem to exist over here...

Personally, if i thought the paint wasn't hard when i picked it up, i wouldn't pick it up! I would have thought waiting a month however, would not really make a difference. The car will be super shiney when you pick it up.

Cheers Brun. I've planned a trip out for it next Saturday to see a rather large gathering of Brit cars (old and new) in Morges (Switzerland) so my shiny new Jap machine will stick out like a sore thumb Sunday it'll be up into the Jura mountains (France) with the beast so it might not be shiny new by the time Monday comes around.

Jeez, the waiting is the hardest part !

It is quite in order for you to apply our Swissol products as soon as you have the car. In fact our products are paint safe which means that you can apply them within 1 hr of painting as they do not contain solvents, silicones or abrasives.

If you care to email me your details to mark@swissol.com I will organise a parcel to be sent direct to you. Delivery is a couple of days from receipt of your order.
