I am in the process of modifying my WRX and have read through a number of posts regarding what other people have done to their scoobs to see how far you can push the scooby engine.

When I first started looking I was thinking, the scoob engine sounds fragile at best, but i've also heard of people running scary boost levels and the engine coping.

There seems to be two camps

On the one side you've got the scare mongers, you know, scoobs blowing up everywhere and then there's the boost junkies like Rich Wild who just pump it up a notch and wait to see if it copes.

Have you seen the blown engine survey on here recently ?, Not exactly a massive turnout of posts was there, especially considering how many users are on here. I know the scoob ain't bullet proof but it may just be a case of owners who've had cars blow just shouting loudest. what do you think ?

Just wondering if anyone could send in some stories of scoobs with major boost/power hikes running with stock internals and how long they've lasted etc.
