How do early STis control the intercooler water spray?
I've managed to get some water spray goodies (thanks Rich
) to fit to a MY93 WRX. I'll have the pump, bottle nozzles etc. How do the cars that have this as standard control when it operates? I know they come with 'auto' and 'manual' switches but how does the auto work? Is it just a simple boost switch, or more complex than that. If it is more complex does it have a control unit? And can you get hold of this control?
Sorry if this has been done to death but i just can't seem to get anywhere with the search at the mo.
Tony.

Ok, so basically the auto is just controlled by boost. No fancy control that monitors throttle position, intake temperature etc.? Do the later cars have a more sofisticated system or are they the same?
Cheers,
Tony.
