Question

As the title suggests....

Gearbox blew about a month ago and the dealer sourced a box from a uk WRX with 9k on the clock. Apparently was a straight swap. Will my diffs explode or are the ratios the same etc etc..

Any comments???

Mechanically, the differences between a UK turbo and a UK wrx is minimal (the wrx has a bigger intercooler over the turbo and bigger wheels, i think that covers the mechanical differences ) so sourcing parts will be no problems as the base for each car is the same

IIRC they did change the intermediate ratios slightly. Won't effect your being able to fit it, but you might find eg 2nd-3rd is a slightly bigger gap or something, but it won't be very major. I may be wrong; there are bound to be more informed people on here than me
