I went to Santa Pod for the first time to run my standard 99 Turbo, firstly I thought 9:30am would be early enough but that put me 30 cars back in the queue Then i finally ran and got a 14.64 with 3/4 tank of petrol and a boot still full of sound system including a big sub box so for a 215hp standard 99 I was well impressed with that time, sounds quicker than it should be, anyone?

After getting what I thought was a good time I decided not to run again since the queues were manic and decided to go do some videoing instead (I have a few imprezas on tape if you were there and want a recording of your cars), then I went to get my slip with my time on, they said that the printer wasnt working and said I'd have to wait until 5pm to get my printout (It was 1pm and I was keen to get going home), so I asked some guy who appeared to be in charge and got a load of grief about only having one run (my choice not to kill my car after all) and then was told that they'd have to post it to me, how insane is that!

Is there better places to go to get a readout on a measured 1/4 mile cos Santa Pod for me was a joke! Also is 14.64 quick for the conditions I described???

UHF the reason it was busier than normal was due to it being 'streetcar sunday' never that many cars normally!!
I thought you ran twice??
What time did you end up leaving in the end?? i went up to get my timing slips for my runs at about 3 and they did say that i couldnt have my first runs ticket as it wasnt workin, good job my first run wasnt my best!!!
Oh well, roll on the 6th of Oct RWYB pt 2..

I was there in my white saff, and that was one of the busiest it's been for a while.

Havng said that conditions were perfect, although the drag cars put down too much rubber for my liking.

I spoke to one of you guys in a nice looking silver scoob (poss MY99?) about where to get your timing slips from....

UHF the later in the year the more chance of bad weather if the track is wet they wont run at all as it dangerous. If it has rained the day before it can take all morning for the track to dry. People wont go as for some its a good distance and not worth it to be turned around and sent home and the light starts to go the later in the year.
