Ive had my 96 for two years - had cambelt b4 I got it at 44k in Sept 2000 Now due for its next 4th 6 month oil change etc. and is approaching 54k.

What if anything do I need doing at 54k? Is the mileage more important than the age, or are there age-related service items I should have done? Its very recently been through MOT if thats of any relevance.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

 

IIRC 6 Years will be the BIG one! Thats Cam Belt, all fluids, plugs etc...

 

even though the cam belt was renewed just 9k ago?

Im really LOATHE to take it to the local "Subaru Dealer" (can I name Jordans Motor Village? Have past experience of their poor service, badly done work etc etc)and I want to take it someone who knows what they are doing.

Any Subaru mechnics in the Hull area who can do it?

 

No, dont need another cam belt, 9k is nothing on one, 54k, is just over a normal 52.5k service which is just oil/filter change and check levels, check with your dealer, he will confirm this. its NOT a big service, the next biggy is at 60k, which is another 30k/main.
