Now I know this should really go in the non scooby related, but it kind of is.

I've got a Nissan 200SX.

Started making funny noises. Took it to the dealer. Who said, crack in the manifold and some turbo problems £1400 please.

Took it somewhere else, they actually took the turbo and manifold out. No crack in the manifold. But bearings in the turbo had gone and the impeller (sp?) was knackered.

The cause of the problem was apparantly, the wrong oil had been used. What gets me is this car has a full Nissan service history.

The bill is going to be something like £800.

So it just goes to show, make sure you know what oil your car needs and make sure the garage put the right stuff in. From now on, I'm taking my own oil for a service and they can use that.

Sorry to heat that Matt. It is something I have done for the past two years, order oil from Pete @ Scoobysport and get the people who service the car to use that and NOTHING else!
