It worked fine on an STi I logged but that had a Unichip to retard the timing. You would be best setting it up with a knocklink and a select monitor or delta dash. If you kept the boost at the point where it was still advancing healthily and there was no knock then it would be good. Would be well combined with a downpipe?

Mine is the Sti John Banks is talking about. I trust the Dawes now, but only after letting JB look at it the boost etc on Delta Dash. A boost guage is a must as well.

I've got some cash that HAS to be spent on my Scoob, but I'm in two minds what to do?

1. Wait for the PPP
2. Buy a Dawes, a set of gauges and a set of 18" alloys

The cost is roughly the same, but I'm a bit nervous about putting a Dawes on the STi. Has anyone done this already? Is it working OK? Are there any areas of concern or things I should be aware of?

Id wait and see what the PPP does for the STi first before going for any other sort of modifications, you dont know, it could be quite good (and you keep your warranty )

Thanks Tony, you've confirmed my thoughts around the PPP. Although the Dawes sounds great I don't know enough about tuning to be confident that I won't wreck the engine by installing a Dawes. Do I really want to meddle with a £27K car?

Who cares how much they loose, the rush is worth it

clubby,

How does your STi drive now the Dawes is fitted? Does is accentuate the turbo kick at 4K revs or does it spread the torque out more evenly? Have you incresed the boost from the Dawes by much more than its standard configuration.

Please forgive the questions, the biggest mod to any car I have ever owned has consisted of runnung SUL instead of UL. I do appreciate the feedback.
