I've just looked on ebay for cherished numbers and there's loads of them. Whilst some look expensive, some are ridicously cheap. Most dealers will see you a three by three (3 letters and 3 numbers) from about a grand upwards. On ebay, there are loads of three by threes for around the £400 mark.

Personally, I'd be dubious because if you bid the highest, it doesn't mean to say you actually get the plates - I know of people who have done that before and thought they'd got it, then the owner withdrew the sale. They're all dealers on there anyway.

Be careful fellow scoobynetters.

As it happens, I just bought S23 WRX from the DVLA for £250 all in.

It's actually G11 EAT, not 911 EAT so slight misrepresentation of letters needed!
