Just noticed a ticking noise coming from the engine down the left side. The ticking gets louder the closer I get to the turbo and surrounding areas. Also the ticking gets faster when I press the loud pedal.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I hear that also on my MY00. Seems to eminate from the turbo side of the engine. Doesn't seem to cause any problems performance wise though...

Mine seems to do it from cold, very loud ticking but mines from the battery side not the turbo side?. Seems ok when warm so I'm changing the oil this weekend to see if that does anything

Does seem to get quieter the warmer the engine gets. I'm over due an oil change as I 've got a service due, and I thought it could be the oil as well. Pretty sure it's not the solenoid as mine has an EBC and the controls for it are near the abs. We'll have to see what the service pulls up. BTW, it's a 94wrx, and no it's not my watch
Cheers..
