I was today at a Subaru dealer admiring the STi. I wonder, however, how faster it is from my current MY 00 GT with PPP. Any comments from friends having driving experience with both of them? Does it deserve the additiona money. In my country, Greece, with additional money the I was asked to pay I could buy a new Mazda MX-5!

Thats the $64,000 question LOl
The IMHO STi7 is faster than a MY00 with PPP but is heavier and as standard doesn't have the low down torque but goes like stink over 3.5Krpm suretrack diff's Bloody marvelous brakes interior and ride (comfort)

But you answered on quetion yourself an MX5

I can definately tell you that a PPP'd turbo is quicker in gear than an STi7 (have proved it ) but i do have a decat downpipe
Realistically and being the owner of an MY00 PPP, id go for the STi.
It is much improved even if it is heavier, it grips better, it feels better, it has better brakes, clutch, gearbox, steering, diffs etc etc.
I love me car (no not in that way ) but the STi is just a different class

Don't listen to T5NYW -he's biased 'cos he has one of those new fangled STi things
Stick with the trusted old steed - even if it is noisier, bumpier, crapper brakes, crapper interior, crapper lights, crapper handling and decades older looking than the STi
