when trying too beat my mates from the lights i just sit there waiting even in the wet he has an fto is the clutch nackered or are they all like that i've only had my car a couple of months

 

Maybe you don't know how to drive...

Take the revs to about 5000, feed the clutch in whilst giving some more throttle...and there you go, lovely clutch smell...
or
Take revs to 6000, and just sidestep the clutch...do this a couple of times, and you should notice parts of your car staying behind at the lights...
