I saw this (whilst browsing in WHS) and also the accompanying shot of the smashed up Sunny GTi-R.

What sort of person goes to a "cruise" thing and does something so outrageous that there car ends up in this state? Must have been some wallop - if the Scooby driver was not to blame and was hit then apologies but it is annoying to see nice cars smashed up.

I think this may be from bovingdon airfield a few weeks ago? I wasn't there but it is quite near me and heard some stories. If it was on an airfield I doubt it would be covered by insurance?

Avi, it's called screen clash, it happens when you scan something already printed with dots (screen ruling). The only thing to do to limit this is to try different 'lpi' settings on your scanner. This may help, but you'll never get it exact.

Hello Avi,
One tip to get rid of the screen clash/moire pattern you describe after scanning from printed literature is to 'blur' the scan. Unfortunately, you need to have some form of image manipulation software to do this, e.g. Photoshop or something similar. Your scanning software may have a feature that allows you to select a portion of the scan to test it out. Have fun.

What, a post like this and no-one's offered to buy his alloys?

I suspect that it's fixable, and not too bad if you consider what stef did...
