the assesor has told me the engine was starved of oil, because of another machanical fault, which is not known at the moment , hopefully this will be known to me by the end of the week. is it true that there are at least 20 other people in this room with the same problem with wrx sti type r,s. i may have to take the warranty company to court as they are refusing to pay out on it. but the assessor says they are liable, he has had dealings with this company for years and has assesed at least one a vehicle a week for private owners who are finding they wont pay out on claims keep an eye out for this company the are called **********.I intend to take it all the way and report them to trading standards as well.

Edited due to libelous content. If your making remarks about a company, DONT name them, unless ALL OF YOUR comments are sustainable.......calling a specific company "CROOKS" cannot be.

I think that what they are saying would apply to most aftermarket/private warranty companies. Most of them arent worth the paper they are written on, as they will claim things like normal wear etc etc, to get out of paying for claims.
I know of a lot of people who have bought second hand cars with warranties, with various companies. Most are crap. If its something small, they usually pay out, but when its major, they will blame the owner for doing something, or poor maintenance.

I claimed for a faulty eletric door mirror and the warranty company
still insisted I send them a copy of the service record!
