What induction kits can you use with a Pace FMIC - from the point of view of what fits? I am quite keen on the APS kit that goes in the wing. I don't want to draw in air from the engine bay, and like the idea of the MAF sensor being mounted in a pipe that is supported at both ends.

John,

From memory i.e. from reading on here, I'm fairly sure that Adam M had the pace FMIC and I remember him having the APS induction kit too. I think they were on at the same time at some stage.

Cheers,

Wrexy.

Since the DV is attached to the TMIC, is there a port off the FMIC hosing to fit a dump valve? Can I have a recirculating one please! Silence is bliss Hiss is not bliss

JB, there is a 'bolt-on' adaptor in the pace kit to take a hose for your dv, you can mount the standard type or use anything beit re-circ or atmosssss

The area of the MAF/ic hose is very 'tight', I would think that with a bit of jiggery it would fit ok.

My Pipercross actually touches the ic hose but dont forget that the APS cast 'hose' is smaller in dia than the p-cross.

Hope that helps.

thanks for answering for me christian.

unfortunatley you are wrong.

I did have an aps cold air induction with the pace fmic kit.

I also suggested relocating the dump valve int he pace fmic kit originally which they did on mine by creatign some convoluted pipework which was a significant improvement.

It also made the valve almost silent which will suit john very well.

Not sure if that version made it to production as it required more ally pipework.

John,

Alan Garrod mentioned to me some time ago that he had to change his dump valve after fitting a FMIC and Induction Kit since the spring in the std one wasn't up to the job. I think he replaced it with a Baileys or Forge. He has a recirc, but you still here some sucking from the induction kit; does sound a lot like a VTA DV.

Might be worth asking him what the problems were exactly.

Stefan

The extra pipework to recirculate the bov return on the pace development kit adam mentioned actually extends the return route to almost a metre's length!

Has anyone got a link to the pictures of Christian R's 2.5 Litre conversion in the members gallery? I'm sure he must have posted in on one or two threads at some point in the past!

JB, yes.

You can bolt the oem dv onto the 'cool side' hose OR you can use the bolt on hose connection to run any of the aftermarket dvs.

If you want pics I will get Mole to post something later.

Hope that helps.

sorry Adam didn't think you had the aps cold air induction with the pace fmic kit, didn't look like it in the pictures. Anyway, no harm done.

Looking at the picture of christians engine bay it would appear that he has an hks filter and not an APS one on his car.

I know adams car worked quite nicely with the APS cold air intake and the pace fmic fitted.

Going for APS FMIC, Forge recirc DV and will try APS induction. Also trying to get a BPM large bore intake pipe from Mac's Power.
