Unhappy

Hi Everyone!
I have a big problem. I'm an Impreza 2.5RS (converted to a WRX)owner. My engine is coming from Japan (EJ20G from a Legacy turbo 1996). That engine has never been available in North America. I blew a piston yesterday and no parts are available in North America. I know that you got that engine since a few years. Does anybody can tell me where I can buy all parts required to fix my engine? (piston, rings, gasket kit, ext.)
Please help me!!!
Francois Messier

P.S. Sorry for my spelling, French is my first language!!

Hi, While they may not be the cheapest place around, Graham Goode racing in the UK should have all the bits in stock that you need to rebuild.

There are plenty of other subaru people around too, but I have dealt with GGR, and have no complaints.

Tu peux certainement en trouver un d'occasion chez les préparateurs qui mettent des pistons forgés etc. dans les moteurs. Regarde la page des liens, chez www.rcdevelopments.com ou www.tdi-plc.com etc.

Oh? What happened?

I bought a stupid fuel pump from them once (which they sent) and they even called me (in France) to ask if it was running ok.

fmessier,

Graham Goode are relatively expensive, TDI PLC are more expensive.

As you are up in Canada, I would suggest you speak to someone more local who knows what they are doing. I suggest you post a similar question on the American bbs www.i-club.com/forums where you should be pointed at some outfits closer to you, such as Cobb Engineering.

Claudius,

Out of pure curiosity, I cannot remember which model impreza you have, is at a Mitsubishi one?

Yeah, It's a newer version of the Subaru Impreza called Evolution 6. Comes with a standard FMIC and a big 16G titanium blade turbo and uprated AWD system LOL! Lots of people seem to like it, including the local Police "You have a Subaru, it's fast, ok, but dont go so fast, there might be peole here 'n stuff" (at 1 am )
