Question

What was your standard bhp to start with?
There are a few scoobs out there running over 300bhp with the standard 330cc injectors, id personally say uprate them after your over the 300bhp mark, it just depends on how much bhp your after to what size you want?

From: Leeds - It was 562.4bhp@28psi on Optimax, How much closer to 600 with race fuel and a bigger turbo?

Depends, Why you fitting a new fuel pressure reg? what mods??

there is a formular for working out what size injectors you need (not taking into account raising the pressure) its xxxcc's of fuel per bhp or something..

Anyone know what the fuel pressure (at the fuel rail) is? It helps in working out the injector size...

standard injectors are 380cc in a uk car pre 99. they are good for about 300 safely on standard pressure.

If its a jap it will have 440cc injectors from my 97 (version 3), although am not sure if this was sti only.

Best thing to do is to uprate fuel pump anyway to be sure it is capable of maintaining the pressure at high flow. You may find you can squeeze much more out of the standard injectors that way.

call Mark Aigin (R19KET) for a fuel pump, plus injector advice.

Cool

tony,
"There are a few scoobs out there running over 300bhp with the standard 330cc injectors..."

doesn't have the MY97/98 not ~440cc injectors?!
Anyway, when you say that the origin injectors are good for <300bhp
then it's ok...

david, I think a stronger fuelpump is useless when the fuelpressure is to poor @high rpm.

sorry for the english - I've only a small dictionary

Lol, Budy - good

The FPR will increase the flow of the standard injectors when set-up correctly. Depends how far you want to go, but I'd keep the existing injectors for a while yet.

You could really do with a remappable ecu though....

See you soon,
Richard
