Rattling noise all the time :(

My 95 WRX has started rattling/tapping noticed it this morning but after a 500 mile drive today its a lot worse, could it just be a heat shield, it runs fine and doesnt reaaly get any louder with revving.
How can I check if it is the Heatshield???
