Hi,

Does anyone know where i can get a rad cap (0.9bar) for my 1995 WRX, apart from the subaru dealer... because there isnt one for about 40 miles....

This may sound thick but, why the higher pressure cap (yes I understand that water boils at higher temp when compressed). But isn't the standard pressure adequate??

(0.9bar) is the lowest pressure cap for the scoob i think.....!! the newer cars had a (1.1bar)radiator cap...!!!

I only want the normal cap for my car as increasing the pressure in the water system can sometimes increase the risk on the head gasket going, so ive heard..???

However, putting a higher pressure rad cap on your car means that the water in the cooling system can have a higher boiling point, which is a good thing on tuned engine as the last thing you want is the coolant/water to boil...!!
