Forge dump valves and max boost
Had a Forge recirc dump valve fitted to my UK MY00 last week (what nice people they at Forge
). All fine except that I've noticed peak boost seems to have reduced slightly. The car has a PPP with a full decat and was previously peaking at about 1.35bar and holding 1.2 ish. It now seems to peak at 1.2 and then hold 1.15 - 1.2.
Could it be that the boost pressure is overcoming the spring in the DV? I don't know a great deal about these things but understand that you can get different springs for the valves. Would a stronger spring get my peak boost back??
I would've rung Forge and asked them but I only really confirmed the pressures coming home tonight and they're closed now
