In my defence ,it was getting dark and I didn't have a torch.

Got my Dawes and AFR meter this morning and just decided to look to see where the wires can go, but couldn't see where the ECU was. I have a MY99. Can someone please tell me where it goes? I know that I connect to the white wire with siver bands (No. 21) but that doesn't help me if I can't find the ECU.

The ECU is under a metal plate in the passenger foot well, you will need to pull back the carpet and remove the protective plate to get at it.

Tried this today but cannot remove the protective plate. Not even my power drill would budge the screws. Actually broke the screw bit.

Any ideas anyone?

The screws should have a bolt head so you can loosen them with a spanner.

bit of WD40 first should do the trick. Mine were very dry and had to soak them a bit first in case they sheared.

Did think they may have added some glue to the bolts to avoid people tampering with them, but they have managed to come off with a 10mm spanner. Not sure why a power drill couldn't do it but hey who cares, it's done.

Thanks guys.
