Question

Hi all,
My scooby is an MY00 Dutch Import, I am thinking of getting a stage 1 ekutec ecu replacement for it. Anyone have any experience of fitting on to these particular cars? Or knowledge of what ICU my car may be fitted with now? I know the simple answer to that one is to look at it, but I cant get the steel plate off to get at the bloody thing yet, the screws are done up soooo tight! need to borrow an impact driver.

Fitted my Tek1 a few days ago (on a MY00 Dutch Import - not that it's particularly relevant as it is identical to the UK car, anyway) It took all of 10 minutes to do and that was mainly getting access.
It seems to take a little while to go through its learning routine but initial impressions are excellent with much smoother power delivery and a definite increase in torque in the mid-range - much better for motorway driving.
I haven't done enough miles to work out fuel consumption but I'm hoping for a pleasant surprise in that department as well.

Mine is a dutch import MY00 and had the 802 ECU which is the poor one. Swapped for a Tek 1 and acceleration had improved amazingly.
