How much does it cost to start racing with equipment and all?

ive been reading about the american SCCA (a racing league) and i was wondering how much it would cost for all these items together
Roll cage, racing seat(sparco maybe), helmet, flame retardant suit, extinguisher.

they just require the equip they don't provide it
i read in a mag it cost about 635 dollars and took 2 months
but a racing seat alone is like 500 i think and roll cage im assuming would be expensive to (so that would be over 635)
