I'm changing my brake pads tonight, can anyone tell me how to do it?

hence the brake pad change....
Done it last night - its so simple. Problem is these Pagid Blues I aquired specifically for track didn't fit
they came off 2pots apparently
perhaps they need their own pad locater spring clip?
Now I'm frantically searching for another set of pads - anything considered, although I've got loads of meat left on mine at the mo I'd prefer to have a 'get you home' set just in case
