Question

I fitted my Defi gauges at the weekend in my MY02 STI.

Oil Temp sensor installed and working ok...
Boost Pressure sensor installed and working ok...
EGT, well theres a story....

I went into this a little bit blind when I picked this stuff up from Scoobymania last week and told them i'd be fitting myself.

I wasn't expecting to have to drill and tap my exhaust manifold for a start off, but, as it as to be done and me being one who is reasonably techie minded, would be prepared to have a go myself.

Question is, does anyone have any step by step tips for getting the manifold off the car, to drilling and then tapping?

And, roughly how long it would take to do the job.

My EGT sensor is ready to be installed straight into the manifold in the engine bay. All the gauges and control unit are hooked up.

Any help here is much appreciated.

Cheers

How difficult is it to remove the manifold. Presuming undertray off, and then it is easily accessible, or is there more to it than that.?

Funny you should mention tools, as I need to find the 1/8 NPT tap kit... Bet you're going to tell me you've got one in that aladins cave of yours

Cheers
