Actually tiggs, if the pics are on the net and have a URL, all you have to do is post

Question

This is a Subaru part (J1010FE010TG for silver, if it's like the lip spoilers the other colours listed on Subaru's website don't exist) - but the picture is only about 20mm in size!!

Anyone got a decent picture of one fitted to a MY01 they can post up?

Thumbs up

I have one fitted to my WR Blue MY01 and it looks excellent. I also have the side grills and front lip spoiler.

Sorry but don't have a piccy I can post, but do recommend it.

Kev
Got Morettes (so don't need the grille sides), lip spoiler currently being painted.

BUT - I bought the rear under spoiler on the strength of the microscopic piccy on the Subaru website, now seen one in the flesh and IMVHO it looks really cheap and nasty, so sent it back, and don't want to make the same mistake with the sports grille.....so come on someone, dig out a pic!

Dave,

Ive got the sports grill second hand. To be honest, whilst its an improvement (it matches the bumper rather than being horrible black plastic - and you'd get a nice new silver badge) i would NOT spend £200+ on one. Its on the subaru website by the way. I was in GGR at the weekend and they are getting lots of different spoilers and grills - he said to check their website!! The one they had on their STI 7 was awesome!!!

Id save your money, wait a bit and then get a kick *** one as they are starting to appear now!! Patience (rich coming from me who has ZERO patience!!!). The Subaru one is a stop gap!

Cool

Dave,

If it helps, it is of much better quality than the standard one. The frame is colour matched, the grill is enameled metal mesh and the Subaru badge is Dark Blue rather than black. The clips that hold it on are a bit poor though and it never seems secure, just like the standard one.

Dave

I have fitted a Blue/Black on to my Silver GX. As it looks black it matches the UK300 headlamps perfectly although it didn't look too good with the accessory finishers between headlamps and grille in the same colour.

Made the car look very different though

Does it invalidate your warranty though????

Hehehe, couldn't resist it.....

I suppose now i've insulted you it would be churlish to ask if you could nip out into the car park, take a piccy and post it up for me.....

PS - why are you driving a GX.....

Dave

As they are all approved parts, my warranty is intact.

There are several reasons I have a GX as my company car, the tax benefit being an obvious one as well as it stopping people from breaking into the house for the keys to my car

We did take some pictures a while ago, I'll see if I can find them.

Brilliant, thanks. Before I go ahead and order them, can you just confirm it is the genuine Subaru one???

Cheers

yes it is, apart from the badge- thats an aftermarket part so dont tell mike

ps- the clips that hold it are a bit iffy, it wont go anywhere but doesnt feel the most secure part of the car!

Looks like a genuine article. Heres the same fitted to a standard headlight MY01 in Quenbys showroom. Also fitted are the side panels, under spoiler, side skirt flares...etc etc.
